But as for me, I’m just a guy from the Birmingham, Alabama metroplex (“metroplex” being from the Greek for “place where every gas station is also a bar-b-q restaurant”). I put food on the table by building websites for great little firm that is a wonderful place to work, not least because the dress code there is the same as for a pick-up volleyball game.
I spend my spare time reading, writing, and developing opinions about things that no sane person should even spend a moment thinking about. But I just love that space where politics, religion, and popular culture intersect. It is fertile soil for just the kind of smartassery that I enjoy so much.
I’ve also written a short book called Zero-Budget Christmas: The Almost Entirely True Story of Our Quest to Do Our Christmas Shopping Without Spending Any Money. I’d tell you more about it, but the title pretty much says it all. I’d love for you to check it out and let me know what you think. I believe you’ll find that it’s worth every penny of the 99-cent asking price.
Thanks so much for stopping by and being curious enough to read the “about” page. I hope you check out the rest of the site and enjoy yourself while you do it.
