Christian Freedom International is an organization that supports persecuted Christians around the world, and being experts on persecution that they are, they aren’t too keen on NASA’s new Muslim self-esteem initiative:
While the backlash from [NASA Administrator] Bolden’s comments have come from a variety of
sources, including former NASA head Michael Griffin and Apollo astronaut Gene Cernan, CFI is most concerned that Bolden’s statements reflect America’s growing indifference to Christian persecution in Muslim nations, and the Obama administration’s failure to adopt a more assertive position condemning the Muslim-majority nations that are consistently known for religious freedom and human rights violations.
