Last month, it looked like this thing might be turning into an early blowout, but just one month later I’ve managed to claw my way back into it:
|Jason Read:||Rachel Read:|
|The Last Battle||Unashamed|
|Shepherding a Child’s Heart||A Man Called Ove|
|Flowers for Algernon|
|When Helping Hurts|
This highly unlikely result is mostly thanks to the fact that Rachel started reading Little Women last month, which slowed her blistering pace considerably. I do not expect to see a month like this very often, unless Rachel suddenly takes an interest in reading James Joyce novels or medical school textbooks.
Nevertheless, at the quarter pole the score stands at 14 books read for Jason, 13 for Rachel. Considering that Rachel is still just running at her normal pace, which 14 books is normally a really good three year stretch for me, I’m going to enjoy my lead while I can.
