Interview with Palin

It’s easy to see the effect that media bias can have on public perception when you compare the airheaded hick that was the media caricature of Sarah Palin with the plain-spoken, engaging governor we see in this interview.  It’s the difference you get when you conduct an interview with someone who’s not actively trying to make you look like a doofus.

I think Palin’s greatest failing as a candidate was that she approached the press in good faith, expecting that they would ask tough questions but not that they wanted to sabotage her.  I don’t know what else she’ll do in national politics, but I suspect she won’t make that mistake again.
